Of course Pilbyjoel... few years ago I backed Amerleigh House & Clan Royal... they finished 1st and 2nd

This year the weather is having a big effect on the ground so it could be very open Im fancying a few but its all down to the bloody grass, West End Rocker is looking alright at 12s

I have had a nice tip at about Shakalakaboomboom and caught it at 20s so stuck a cheeky tenner on it.

Gonna do a couple E/W's later and see what happens.

Maybe do Seabass and Ballabriggs.

I use this website - http://betting.racingpost.com/

The race predictor is quite handy I find.

I always choose the one who is around 100/1. One day it will pay off

Dont know whether to pick black apalachi. finished 2nd in 2010. In 2009 was leading and fell.

I also fancy that shakalakaboomboom though.

I had £20 on Sunnyhillboy at 18/1.

Sickening feeling to lose like that. Would much rather him fall and die at the first hurdle. Maybe im just being bitter.

Done my absoloute ballsack today. Left with socks and pants and thats it.

My National history...

4 seconds
2 thirds
2 fourths
Black Apalachi falling at the 28th jump whilst 6 lenghts clear
and now...

another second.

Also had 3rd and 4th and fifth today. Only backed 5 horses and I got 4 of them in the top 5. Hard knocks.

R.I.P Syncronized. No horse deserves to die but apparently it was for "his own good".

Cheltenham cup winner a month ago... is now dog food.

So much for the course being 'safer' this year. Too many horse deaths now - this race needs to be made properly safe for next year :(

Yeah, I remember listening to a trainer a few months ago saying the changes would make things worse, not better.

The best way to make it safer is probably to make the jumps even higher to be honest. That way the horses would have to slow down to jump them.

reading this thread makes me unhappy to boast my winnings
i closed my eyes for my 5th and final bet and hit gold

i had synchronized shakalakaboomboom ballabriggs and another horse something to do with a fish cant remember now all at 5pound e/w
and the winner collogne (summing like that ) 5 win at 40-1 board price
my house was hectic as my bro had the horse on a 5 pound win and in a sweep that lost by a pubes thicknes length im still smiling now
but this thread makes me realise about the poor horses that get put to sleep

do they really have to be put to sleep or is it just to be able to claim the insurance money back im sure a horse could be rehabilutated as ive seen a horse on a stilt and wheel under his hoof
