Concept:

The best 8 regular players (statistically) battle each other for 7 weeks. After 7 weeks the top 4 players on the table will go trough to the semi finals, number 1 of the table player number 4 and number 2 player number 3. The numbers 1 and 2 go into the semi with a 1 frame lead as a reward for their table position.

This event is an invitation only event! If there is too little interest or games don't get played it will be cancelled.

Every player will play one match against another player every week. Matches are 4 games, at a 3-0 score the 4th game is still to be played.

If a player does not accept their invite, is not reliable enough to play their games or does not respond within 4 days, the empty place will be filled in with
1 the highest available player on the regular ranking
or
2 a wildcard.

The positions on the table will be decided by:
1 Games won
2 Matches won
3 Highest break

Far be it for me to be a killjoy..


But I can't see sporadic playing...o'sullivan has hardly been around,i_am_blessed has rage quit..and not sure many others will play it from that list...seems a random way to go about a competition..

Also you are not in your own tourney??...or are you the wild card..

I like to see competition..so why not just ask reg players to join and say min rank or minimum all time rank or minimum must have made a cent or 10 cents etc to make it higher quality?
