I have now experienced a number of players, when clearly, beaten, who continue to deliberately foul to waste the winners time - I have seen scores over 200.

Incredibly childish and unsporting.

Perhaps, this could be stopped by applying rules, similar to killer, 3 fouls and the game is lost?

It's a shame that players like this, and the highly offensive ones are allowed to ruin it for others.

If you see this you can message a member of staff to check and if its suspicious their stats may be reset.

May I point out that if a player is deliberately losing, the terms of the site oblige you to leave the game as I understand it. As also mentioned you can then raise a ticket with staff who can then check for further unsavoury behaviour.

"How do we deal with cheaters?...

...If your opponent is deliberately losing against you, you must leave..."

Your idea of 3 fouls and a loss is disproportionate in my view - I have had many well-contested games with more than 3 fouls on each side either by strongly played snookers, flukes, or a combination of the two.

If you read what he said he said players who are clearly beaten (as in no way for them too come back and win the frame) are foul on purpose over and over again just drag out the game (this happens a fair amount in tournaments on snooker though if i am not mistaken.)

Why should the clear winner leave the game if the actual game was played fairly until the arrogance of the opponent was shown by purposely trying to get them both DQ in a tournament or just drag out a ranked game for no reason.

Yoshiii - Im surprised you actually play games though to be fair since you won't play me because of my newbie status despite your very low ranks as well. Newbie tag does not hurt you if you lose...

They need some type of rule to stop that happening in ranked games though as i myself have played a few people who will actually attempt to come back and win but they need at least three or more snookers to win. I get it is snooker and the real game takes a life time but fighting a loss just to be a complete idiot is annoying.

i think theres a limit on tournement to ,so if they keep fouling on purpose then it will click in , i think its what ever points are the table plus another 12 points an top of that
happens alot in rank and friendly tho as theres no limit

The player deliberately losing against you refers to when a player is giving you ranking points, and in effect cheating. If it's one game, then seeing it through is not going to be an issue, but the person in question should be reported. I'm personally against the 3 fouls idea too for same reasons.

I don't understand why you're so selective about who you play against though. There is no clear reason for this, and it is evident it's not just me you're singling out now.

should be a limit or deficit in all games.....which the winner can also initiate to end the game, take the power away from the goonies so to speak......

i have done that , also the proof is on my results, scoreline between me and keafever i have like 181 points in arcade which is impossible he was fouling for good 15-20mins and using down his shot limit which was 30secs he ran it down to 1 sec and kept fouling.

it is petty and stupid i think the best idea would to be able to block that person, after all the argiebargie, then you do not have to suffer their inadequencies in life, and low self asteem after all they could be drunk as a skunk and think it is a good idea at the time who knows but i have had timewasters before and i dare say i have done it myself odd occasion not deliberately of course.

Yoshiii complains about unsporting behavior but he refuses to play 19/20 of the players who join his table.
I am absolutely delighted that a campaign of sustained harassment resulted in Yoshiii deactivating his account.
An achievemnt to be proud of, I'm sure you will all agree.

Thanks Rox. I'm glad it wasn't just me he was being awkward with. Thankfully he deactivated that account now. Hopefully when he comes back with a new account he will play the game for what it is - an internet game!

just wondering why its ok to cheat and not get punished but its against the rules to show proof of cheating?
If its cos I named and shamed...well if they didn't do it I wouldn't have been able to...also how can you punish someone if their name isn't posted with the evidence?

let me comment on this......i deliberately foul through a game , the whole game until its done and for what ever time it takes ..i miss , i snooker , anything to make the ball non pot ...WHY ? because the game is full of dishonest ranking re setters who play at low scores when they are actually 800s and play people who they should beat anyway , they spoil the site and they are the ones who should be brought to the attention of the moderator as to get an honest game is so hard....So i found by doing this the re setter hardly plays me anymore as they know what is coming....Yes its annoying , yes i would rather not , but they rarely request another game from me . So until it is stopped in some way , yes re setters will get the 3 pts off me , but i will make them wait for the pleasure .

I just had a frame running up to the 183 to 17 scoreline. Why couldn't it be that we have something like we have in tournaments? (12 points required from snookers and you're out). Let's make it something like a 20-point cut off (4 snookers on the pink and more on lower value colors - nobody will get more than three snookers with just a pink and the black on the table - so that is a decent threshold). That way you cannot complain because the cheaters will lose quickly and as for the fair players - coming back from 20 points required from snookers is extremely unlikely anyway and people (me as well) usually concede at that point (from my experience at least).
