Not an issue with XP (I presume). See my post above.

Problem occurring on Windows 7 and Windows 8 operating systems too.

Its occurring on all of them. I did see a msg saying new java has to match pc spec and i.e.

As some i.e. now is old and even youtube wont work on them. I believe its from i.e. 9 and below.

I have sent a msg to a few people seeing if what i said to do has/ or hasnt worked.

Again the problem isn't down to the browser as it was tested on Chrome, Firefox & Internet Explorer.

Other Java applets seem to load fine as does the Java test page but either of the funky applets do not load.

It has to be some sort of issue with Funky & Java. It doesn't make sense for this problem to randomly occur for a considerable number of people at the same time when the issue hadn't existed prior.

Well at the start of this year some browsers at some point throughout the year wouldn't support old pages. So updates was needed. All was informed.

But some people could get online while others couldnt. I was 1 of them who couldnt

But after updating new java, it still didnt work. So i rolled back and removed few things and now am back online.

I use Mozilla Firefox and, increasingly, I am disconnected from funky. Last night it wouldn't even let me back in again.

Can you tell me what port number to use for letting funky communicated with my computer through the firewall?

80 for http:// and 443 for https:// but it won't really make a difference.

As others have said the server has been struggling

Well i'm screwed then as i'm on XP but why was it working before the server downtime then all of a sudden i update Java and can't play.

EDIT: Dazpolz has Windows 7 so can't be O/S if i could play before

I updated java and still had same problem. Tried and tried everything and then read that some times you need to install both 32- and 64-bit java updates.

I dunno what your computer is James, but if it's a 64-bit then this might be worth a shot.

Everyone who cant get online needs to do the following if getting error msg:

ClassNotFoundException

need to enter this in cmd:

PATH=%PATH%;C:\Program Files\Java\JDK1.6.20\bin

CLASSPATH=%CLASSPATH%;C:\Program Files\Java\JDK1.6.20\lib

While your internet window is open, e.g. I.E.

All to do with a missing Path/File; .Jar / -cp / -classpath

Link; http://java67.blogspot.co.uk/2012/08/what-is-path-and-classpath-in-java-difference.html

If this doesnt work you need to roll back to java6

Tried that via Environmental Variables tab and it didn't seem to make a difference on the two machines I was troubleshooting.

Nevertheless if you do try it and aren't on XP/Vista I think the directories will be;

PATH=%PATH%;C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\JDK1.6.20\bin

CLASSPATH=%CLASSPATH%;C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\JDK1.6.20\lib

I just did the java update and it works fine.
Having said that, I also still have an old java version installed (Update 6, Version 37). I don't uninstall that one.
Im gonna claim the solution here...
