This method can save a lot of time. There's no need to upload your game play recordings onto Youtube, and then share the link here, because instead, you can simply export your recording as a .GIF animation file, and directly insert it into your forum posts.

You will need Camtasia Studio for this.

Assuming you've recorded something, and you've hit Save & Edit, you're ready to export your recording as a GIF.

Click Produce & Share
In the drop down on the pop up menu, select Custom Production Settings. Hit Next.
At the bottom, select "GIF - animation file".
Hit Next.
Colours: 256
Frame Rate: Automatic
Loop Indefinitely
Keep hitting next until you reach the final page, then hit "Finish".

Once your GIF file is saved, go to a site such as http://imgur.com/
Upload your GIF image, and place it into your forum post using the IMG tags.

Here's an example using a quick animation I made:

The quality won't be as good as a video obviously, however this makes it a lot easier & quicker to share your recordings.
