Because it does and it has never been a secret either. Here is one for you since you think you know it all...

Nick was pretty much full time on pool and snooker over a decade ago, had no other job. He can afford to go travelling and what ever else multiple times through out the year as well.

Funkypool and Funkysnooker must be bringing in alot more than you actually think and many long term players like myself know that. It was leaked not long ago that even just logging on and browsing generates Nick money

And also Staff told me in the past that Nick makes the same money from a Free Player, just by showing adverts and visitors etc. than a Premium User. Being Premium, Ads are blocked which the thing what generates cash, He has to cover the cost of the removal of adverts which is £10 per year.

This is what i kept telling people years ago, Being Premium just removes ads and get some fancy cues. Just wish more features were added to make it interesting.

Years ago Premium was worth it, Not to me as its £2 a cue but to others it helped. Now with site as it is and Uncertainty if Staff can activate Premium then i wouldn't recommend it.

Stephen, you shouldn't have to buy Premium to fix a problem, That becomes "Pay to Win" and this is a "Free to Win" game

LOL listen to yourselves, "leaked" and "someone told me", I know its cool and fun when you're a teenager new to the internet to spout all this rubbish, but it just makes you look silly after a while.

Forget the myths and just try it if you haven't , plan a simple site and sign up to an adserver and see how it works, its not hard. Even if you can't be bothered to do that, just stop and think - how can anyone get money just from someone signing in to a website?

The premium thing isn't as bad as it seems either, £10 a year for a game may seem crazy its true, but it would amaze you what some people pay, just look at the cost of console gaming. There are people out there who pay up to a couple of hundred pounds for something that can only play games, then some even pay monthly subscriptions over and above that! All for something that isn't real!!

"I know its cool and fun when you're a teenager new to the internet to spout all this rubbish, but it just makes you look silly after a while."

Learn facts.

a) I've been on internet since 2006 (longer if include school but was during a break) so not "New" as you put it
b) I'm 27 so how am i a teenager? Teenager ends at age 20 as last teen is NineTEEN

And i play Xbox so brother got his out of a catalog and Brothers friend pays for live as Brother shares account with him so we don't pay to play.

I know how much people can play as seen people may $500-1000 or more to win a rare virtual item.

Personally, I don't believe what is being said about the earnings from adverts - I've had/heard this argument before on here. Having myself been through that stage of having a website, having adds etc, they do not pay regardless, that's just madness (ROI - return on investment) - companies would go bankrupt.... but what they do is pay lets say £0.01 pence per click (and that's generous), if someone clicks it.... so the reality is that you'll need people to click an awful lot of adds to make even a small amount of money. I believe this site makes it's money from subscription, not adds, but there is no harm of having adds for two reasons.... 1) it's annoying to the player and could force a subscription and 2) what the hell, it makes money, even if in very small quantities.

Ps, I should add that in the event someone clicked an add and as a result of that, continued and purchased something, then Nick stands to make 'money' subject to what has been bought. How often that actually happens is anyone's guess

Not been doing any mobile games recently. I was approached by www.thegamecreators.com for freelance programming work on driving test apps for mobile android/ios devices, so that's been keeping me busy

If anyones interested, here's the first :

Maybe I should seriously think about re-creating funky snooker under a new tag

Careful, I pointed out the obvious a few posts back and got called a know it all

Cool to see you are a programmer too. I did quite a bit of freelance before I had to change profession, worked a lot on the Yeti Sports series then moved into porting for android before getting into network security.
