I'm having real trouble with vista since i have installed it. Does anybody know how to sort your sound out on it? I keep gettin a buzzing noise from my speakers but no sound!? Can anyone help please?

I dont know if i've done something wrong, but it wont give sound at all.

Are they old speakers? could be the speakers are knackered.

Yeah as redrebellion said the first port of call would be to try the speakers on a different PC to see what the audio os like.

After that I would try the drivers.....but really if you are getting distorted audio it sounds like dodgy speakers mate.

i used to have windows xp before and the speakers where fine. I think my dad may have messed with it while installing vista (if possible), its just a totally different world for me using vista. I still have the same problem now after tryin everything.

Try going to the control panal and system and sound settings and see what you can do from there
