It is funny but someone commented saying about rules,

"In a penalty shootout after a draw, as soon as the ball comes back off the post, the crossbar or the goalkeeper, the penalty is over (and missed). Even if it bounces off the post, and then goes in from the back of the goalkeeper it is NOT a goal."

So the keeper was right to celebrate.

If the team that "scored" that penalty go up thats ridiculous, and not right for that matter, the penalty's over as soon as the ball moves away from goal or hits the net and which ever is first is the result of the penalty, the italian FA has to sort that out.

Not that I will click on that S*n link but I've seen the goal in question and Nicko, your embarassing yourself again.

Nah, all that happened there is it hit the crossbar and went in. Doesn't matter how long it takes, if you hit a pen and it clips the bar/post and goes in it counts. Which is basically what happened there - crossbar and in.

I'm not sure it would count if it hit the keeper and went in though.
