Founded. October 1879 First ground was Blue House Field at Hendon after two years the club moved north of the river to fields in roker and fulwell, then in 1886 to Newcastle Road the large pitch had stands which could hold around 15.000, In 1905 Sunderland AFC bought land and Roker Park was built, Improved in 1929 and again in 1933 to hold an incredilbe 75,118 (standing of course), Then in 1997 the club moved to a Brand New Stadium called - The Stadium of Light Capacity. 48,707
