Its a sound problem...

I cant hear MSN pop ups, i cant hear PM alerts, but i can hear the balls getting knocked about on the snooker table, youtube, music etc.. are fine.

I have checked to see if my alert is ticked in options (snooker), i have checked all my sound options, and they all seem to be fine, any help?

Waits for spinns or cuch .....

i was getting delayed sounds. other day but guess tht was just lag... getting no sound at all?

Both the snooker sound alerts, and msn alerts run through java - this may be where your problem lies in that they are corrupting each other...

Have you tried a simple reboot?

nudge someone on msn, and that should fix your sounds, it works for me because it is all java related

Yeah above advice should help.

Never investigated it in depth, but some of the "winks" used by messengers are java based and "seal" the focus from the game, or vice-versa, i guess.

My sound for PM's and MSN are back, i just reinstalled MSN, that fixed it. Thanks to all abave.
