Please add some more details about what you want to do with your database, and what you need it for. Then we'll be able to redirect you to some relevant database engine.

I want the database so people can register to my website because at the moment it isn't working. I have tried making one with MySQL and it didn't work and i don't really know much about .PEARL files.

whats the error you get with mysql.

Is it a cannot connect error?

Is your site online? Does your hosting allow you to have a database. Give me a little more info and i may be able to help you out.

Its PERL mate, Id say you'd be best to use some free forum builders online, instead of trying to get Apache, MYSQL and many other things working together

Eitherway its not a thing that is easily set up, especially for people without previous experience.

Usually would be a free, easily set up equivalent on the web somewhere.

Sounds like you want to create yourself a forum. Better off using a free one online. So you dont have to worry about apache/mysql or any coding.

When asking for opinions and advice, it would be best to include as much info as possible with regards to your needs and requirements. Without the proper info its very difficult to give you correct advice.

You want people to log into your forum or your web site ??? You are not been clear... If its your fourm then it should all be set up from the place that deals with your forum. If you want people to be able to log into your web site like here on funky then you will need a bit of knowledge on how to do that. Who ever you bought your web space from.. depending if its free or piad for should have a database already set up.. maybe you should contact your host.
