South Africa to win, Australia for 2nd, New Zealand for 3rd and France for 4th Namibia stand no chance. I think NZ will win tho, but I have confidence in SA. We had a bad year in 2006 and 1994. And we won the Rugby World Cup the next year. We had a bad year last year, so hopefully the pattern continues Ireland have potential, but not enough to win I don't think. Scotland have been outstanding against the top teams SA and AUS in the past 2 years, but will they find their rhythm for the WC? England are an inconsistant team lol. Australia are playing well, so wouldn't be surprised they hit a hat trick of titles. France are good WC contenders, Argentina had a screamer of a WC in 2007. Russia will be funny to watch :P teams like Tonga, USA, Canada, etc. They have no chance of winning.

we'll see......we'll all see!!

I know nothing of this sport really (it is a load of gash really, and dependent on who kicks the most penalties ) but I've managed to predict the last 2 winners, England and South Africa, so I will go again.

The All Blacks.

Well well well .. just witnessed one of the biggest upsets in the World Cup ... Tonga beating France! Fully deserved it was too.

Even though the Tongans couldn't qualify for the 1/4 finals, the psychological effect on the French could be huge.
After all, they'"ve only got England to look forward to next week lol.

the french are the most dangerous team on that side of the draw
sneaky frogs can beat anyone on their day - as they proved in 199 and 2007 against us,
but i reckon whoever makes the final from the southern hemisphere side of the draw will win it

I think it will Be a northern Hemisphere team this time round, Ireland are starting to look strong now with 100% win record there on form atm and i expect them to beat wales tomorrow and then a tough test against England or France to come...

if it is to be a northern hemisphere team, then it will be ireland or france, england and wales are too defensively minded and won't send the ball wide much.
it is unbelievable how much worse england are when wilkinson plays instead of flood. (wilkinson can kick and tackle, but not much else, flood is far superior all round player)

i still don't think that the northern hemisphere teams can match the pace the game is played at in the south, and will be found wanting in the last 20 minutes
