Just tied to come online knowing that I was going to hit a 653 run in carom, and got the following message...

Java(TM) SE binary has stopped working.

So as you do when Java decides to screw up on you I unistalled and installed the latest version of Java and it still says the same.

I must say though, today whilst watching Final score on BBC I had a few pop ups saying there have been attempted intrusions by trojan horses, whether this has affected it I am not sure.

Someone help me please.

Oh and when I go onto google, search something and click the link it directs me to a number of different websites, all about security.

Something tells me my computer is not healthy.

Have you scanned your computer for viruses? I suggest using a program called malwarebytes. I had a few problems with popups saying I had viruses and Malwarebytes sorted it easily.

Just to clarify - do these popups look like the Windows Security Centre alerts which pop up in the bottom right corner of the screen?

Same idea as this...

Yeah some of them do.

Others are just lashing me straight to anti virus sites.

Found 6 infected objects so far, but doing a full system scan, could take a while.

OK. Sounds similar to a problem I had a few months ago. I had a malware infection called "Email-Worm.JS.Gigger". This generates fake virus alerts in order to scare you into buying antivirus from dodgy looking sites.

Malwarebytes will get rid of it.

Found 62 infected files, got rid of them and it worked.

For all of 3 seconds until "Java(TM) SE binary has stopped working."
again.

Thanks for your help Smurf, but I think this may be deeper than that now...
