Mich won 9-4 for both Super Tournaments.

Nah we was poor but apple was more consistent, what i found interesting is even at a frame difference of 5, i gained points and apple lost points even at the pro stage.

Still got to final!! I did notice

If a pro drops more than 2/3 frames he/she wont finish higher then when first started!!

Quite like them keep them coming Bud, Shame about lack of numbers though. Love the Chosen by you, need more of those

The way i would improve only nick can do it but means overhauling or tweaking the entire ranking system.

spoke to mich earlier and we feel i should have lost points and he should have gained, particularly with a frame difference of 5 frames.

Way i would do it is only distribute points at the end of a match like a Rank system per match rather than frame. If its a series of Best of Ones then would be current system however if you selected Best of 9, you still win or lose as many points as you would in one frame whether it is 5-4 or 5-0.

Or even (and this is what i suggested to mich) the winning player only gains ranking and the losing player stays, no ranking limits, rank cap only applies against Newbies only.

In real game only way you would lose prize money is if you got fined otherwise it is up only unless of course your losses from traveling is higher than your annual earnings.

Yup because deedee had to go, felt she would have won the way i played and i got better in final but still poor.

Yeah i get that mate, seems wrong but thats the ranking system, know the risk when you enter

I did have few ideas for tournaments!

Rank bouns (extra) 15/20/25/35/50/100
Tourna points (extra) 25/50/100/125/150/300
Free premium membership for: 1 week, 2 weeks, 1month

And/or

1st place for winning tournament: (based on 5 frames)

Rank between
600-700 min 35 max 50.
700-800 min 30 max 40.
800-900 min 25 max 30.

Also extra points for entering tournaments should be:

1st 10+
2nd 7+
3rd 5+

Eveyone else 3+

I think most agree's when pro and enter tournaments you cant lose a frame!

Could maybe have a CBYT on Mondays at 7.30pm (3 day gap).

Rank boosts for semi and finalist would be a start although with lack of numbers it should be just the two finalists. Like Winner 60%, Finalist 30%, Semi 5% each.

Ranking system comes into play so that 60% would be decreased when your Pro, Virt or even Ace (950+). Over 900, Rank deduction comes into play also so the higher you are the less boost you gain but could help others rank.

Not sure how it would be done though

Better way could be make newbies start at 900

For the record I honestly couldn't care less about rank...

I went from 842 to 787 and back up to 850 in the space of a week about a month ago and really only play to have a laugh.

But there is something wrong when you are beating a player as good as James is and as highly ranked (34th on whole site) as James is at Carom 9-4 and you are losing ranking points.
