Just come on tonight and my snooker rank has gone fron 902 odd to 899.5 and i have not played a game.Has there been some change in the calculation of rank or has my edge been modified lol?

hmm im not sure mate i know there is a 0.50 that gets took off players with over 900.

Probably something to do with keeping the top and bottom guys from being too many standard deviations away from the mean player.If the top guys are too far away those in the middle might give up the chase.

yeah, high ranks get point deductedeadch day so they can just sit up on the top of the table without playing a game

Would i be right in thinking there are a few "sitters" on this site.Seem to be less on the pool site.

5) Daily reduction: a small amount is reduced from the top player's ranking.

To prevent player's simply retiring when they are top of the rankings a small amount is chopped of their ranking daily.

The rule is a 1 point drop for any user with a ranking over 925.0, a 0.75 point drop for any user with a ranking over 900.0, a 0.50 point drop for any user with a ranking over 875.0 and a 0.25 drop for users with a ranking over 850.0.

Crystal clear and i see that 1000 cannot be past as there is a 100 per cent loss of points at that level.
