Messi's goal was better.. Maradona went past 4 players including the keeper, all of which gave him tons of space to just run.. Messi was getting closed down by 5 players including the keeper, and finish was harder.
Both goals are amazing though.
Ben Arfa's goal against Blackburn was better than both in my opinion though. (Not just being biased because he plays for Newcastle, I honestly think it was).
He goes past 6 players including the keeper from the halfway line, shows incredible skill when 3 players are surrounding him in the box, and then slams the ball into the roof of the net.
Obviously nobody talks about that though because he doesn't play for a world class team... Messi, Ronaldo, Rooney, etc.. scored that goal, you wouldn't hear the last of it.
Both goals are amazing though.

Yeh I was going to mention that but got sidetracked lol.
Blackburn & Getafe defence's can't really be compared to the '86 England defence. Still though if you watch the goal Maradona scored, it's like the England team just fell asleep. They all just stand there and watch him run past them...
At least with the Messi & Barfa goal, they're under pressure from the halfway line to the box, and still manage to get past more players, and put the ball away nicer.
Not trying to say Maradona's goal is overrated or bad or anything, because it's an incredible goal, I just personally think that both Messi's and Ben Arfa's were better.

This may not be as good as running round like 6 or 7 players like messi does, but this takes mad skill to be able to do on a football pitch tbh.
