Keep away from Kauto Star in the Gold Cup, he's always up there for favourite but he had a nasty fall last week and his form might be doubted! But still a long time to recover so he might be upto full fitness by then.

Also Hurricane Fly what's he on, 6 1's out of his last 6 races? Definatly the name to back on that race but also at the same time Zaidpour winning the last 4 races at the age of 6 and Zarkander also winning last 4 but only at the age of 5 compared to Hurricans age of 8 so it's going to be intresting. I'm going have all 3 to place I think £50 on all 3 to finish top 3 sounds like a good bet, and a cheeky £20 on Fly 1st Zarkander 2nd and Zaidpour 3rd.

I'm definatly going be spending a few hours in the bookies this week trying to win a few quid!

But it's not all my money, 75th Minute today Swansea 0-0 I put £20 on them to win at 15/2 so that's made me around £160 to play with

The excitment is building up already, you do know we got it all wrong tho, we check form/weight/age ground etc etc

It's the people who just like a colour or a name that tend to win haha

I don't mind not winning them all just aslong as I get 1 big win that can cover the majority of my loss's

He's going up against some quality horses now tho, I think it's going be by a nose not lengths still always worth the money, previous form just makes him impossible not to back.

And i'm sure there's a book makers that's doing an offer if Hurricane Fly wins the race you get your money back on other bets saw it advertised, just can't remember if it's the right horse

Never do Lucky 15's Unless you are getting like, 200% bonus for a single winner - 25% bonus for a double and 2 singles...

My advice, just stick with the Yankees, thats the L15 without the singles, so 11 bets instead of the '15' obviously.

No point having £5 on a single at 10/11, 6/4... etc... you might as well do 11 bets, of £7 (£77)...

Like I said, Unless there are good bonus's. Even with a 200% bonus on a single winner, your only getting back £20 at best for a single win... so you're losing £55 anyway.

Its annoying when people do Lucky 15s... its the wrong bet.

I shall update in due course

Typically... an Irish Man United fan made a gambling thread. He is a mug as well

For anyone interested in following the racing there is really only one site -

http://www.racingpost.com/horses2/cards/home.sd?r_date=2012-03-13

I think the racing is all fixed anyway. Too much money is at stake for people to lose. So its all made sure they win.

I dont look at weight/age/form/owners/jockeys anymore... because if that worked I'd be minted.

I look for who would make the bookies win money. Horses that are good but overshadowed by the big names, and of course... backed for lesser amounts!

One thing with big racing such as Cheltenham festival... the prize pools are a lot bigger, so I think the people who fix/rig/cheat people... cant afford to sway people off with money. So its always good fun.

If you want to bet on horses, I really dont encourage betting at all... it has nearly ruined my life on many occassions... but!

I'd suggest making an online account, Skybet or Paddypower. That way you can just bet small stakes and not have to feel the need to bet big tons of money to try and impress people.

And remember - Only bet what you can afford to lose.

Cheltenham - Tuesday -

1:30 - Messy race and theres 10 that have a decent chance of winning it! I've picked out three, Steps to Freedom 6/1, Montbazon 8/1 and Midnight Game, whos price has drifted from 16's down to 10/1.

2:05 - Really fancy Al Ferof 3/1, even though Sprinter Sacre 5/6 should probably win. But Al Ferof has value for me, Sprinter doesnt.

2:40 - Tough race, like many here but I've picked out Mossely at 18/1. More of a price bet than a 'stick your mortgage on it' bet lol.

3:20 - Hurricane Fly, beast 10/11. But Overturn 25/1 and 8/1 without Hurricane fly in the race is too good a price to turn down. Especially when Overturn 'use' to embarrase the horses its racing only a year ago. Year without a run as well... hmm.

4:00 - Garde Champetre. If it runs its best, can't be stopped. 10/1

Good luck everyone who is picking the same as me!

My Ex Mrs her Dad is Cousin to Johnathon Wilkes and he owns Race horses and always gave him tips around this time of year and to be honest he wasn't wrong often lol

Hurricane Fly won't win the 3:20 I got a good feeling it's Zaidpour don't know why though!

Well I got my money back for Sprinter Sacre winning the Race Dan. Paddypower Moneybackspecial ha.

Overturn... well, 28/1 I got on him. Ridiculos price. Even if it pulled up/didnt finish or came last it was still agreat price. So so nearly got there, thought he had it... but £25 EW @ 28/1... isnt bad at all.

Finished today £2 down haha! Literally hilarious. Give it another go tomorrow!

I used to go with a girl who lived there

And what an awful day yesterday £250 in the hole so I thought 1 race today to get my money back!

Cheltenham 2:40 Bobs Worth £100 - Total Stake £100 Price 4/1 (If I didn't take price could of got 9/2 lol)

Came home by a few lengths thank you very much Mr Worth £500 return including stake!

Going try not have any more bets until the Gold Cup now, but you never know

Won the first race, the 1:30 with Teafor Three.

Nowhere in the second.

2nd in the third

Sizing Europe to beat Big Zeb in the chase, which obviously went well.

In the 4:00... I've got Cape Dutch - Poole Master - Third Intention - Balgarry...

Need a winner here really. 28 runners, its basically a punt. You'd have to fancy Balgarry on paper, 6 pounds lighter than he is suppose to be, he's fresh and a good horse. I think Cape Dutch, won 3 in 5 over hurdles and is reliable over C&D.

20/1 as well...

&... they're off!
