hey people,.

need some advice

my monitor is not working, but ive tried it on a different laptop and it worked fine.....

so the lead and monitor must be ok.

what can i do etc to make it work on my laptop again!!!

What happens when you try using it? Or does nothing at all happen?

nothing m8, usually the laptop comes on then the monitor comes on. but then all of a sudden it didnt come on, tried it on my mrs laptop its fine, so its like the laptop is not sending the signal to the monitor

Have you configured your laptop to display through a separate monitor? Some laptops do this for you but others don't, which might be why it works on one and not on the other.

Right click your desktop and select Screen Resolution whilst your monitor is plugged in. The rest should be fairly straight forward.

thing is jackpot my monitor has been working for 3 years then all of a sudden stopped!!!!

i thought monitor was broke but like i said plugged it into the other laptop and worked fine!! grrrr

The port where you stick the lead into the laptop may be broke then.

Yeh I suggest getting it checked out. It will probably be an easy fix.
