So as a massive Derby county fan who has a season ticket a big issue has happened. I looked on our fixture list today and to my horror I realised that Derby play Leeds on the 5th October. What's wrong with that you may ask?

Well my girlfriends birthday is also on that day so now I dunno what I should do. Derby v Leeds is a big game, but surely it ain't big enough for me to not go to my girlfriends birthday? hmmmmmmmmmmm what should I do........

If you want to keep the girlfriend then Birthday.
If you don't want to keep the girlfriend then Football.

If said girlfriend lets you go to football then...

Tell her you booked a table for dinner, make sure it is AFTER the match finishes.
Go to hers before the match then go and say you are off out to pick up a bit of a surprise.
Get her a crappy little necklace or something go the match.
Watch Derby get hammered, obviously.
Then go spoil her in the evening.

Can you tell that I have done something similar before?

I had my mates Wedding that finished at half 2 and then had to go for photos etc instead I walked out at half 2 and said 'Ok see you at 5 I need go stoke haha'

The game is probs more important to me as _nerdzz_ said :P I like michs idea apart from I don't think we are gonna get hammered because we have beat leeds 10 times in a row :D.

Or you can break all man rules and take the Mrs to the football game, I did this and the first question was 'What colour are stoke playing in' luckily everybody who stands around me loved her and didn't care about her asking 'Who's he'

A tip I learnt if you disappoint her, make sure you've got something extremely clever up your sleeve to cheer her up :P
